10 Foot Motion Concepts
Disney TV

Splash Animation

The splash animation consisted of sourcing materials from the on-air graphics and modifying it for an intro and a loop. I defined the intro to be set at a time of ~5 seconds with a loop of 5-10 seconds.

The Landing Page

The landing page animation featured elements from on-air motion packages that were updated seasonly. They featured an intro and a loop.

Day and Night

As a way to further enhance the overall product and experience, I created the concept that the background would change based on the time of the day(day, sunset and night). If the users happened to tune-in at sunset, they would be able to witness the sun go down and the moon come up.

Miles from Tomorrowland

Miles Paving the WAY

The influence from the miles composition led the way in influencing the visual direction for all of the additional shows.

Disney Channel Show Pages

The Disney Channel show pages featured the Disney Channel blue ribbon along with photography from each show. Typically these were photos from various scenes in the show which were animated to show ambient movement in the background.

Disney XD Show Pages

The XD show pages included creating a loopable background based on elements from the on-air branding. Characters from each show were also used to help recognization.

Post Launch

The 4th generation Apple TV had the ability to offer more engaging experiences from apple's previous releases. Being one of the first apps developed for this platform and working directly with apple, some of our team were invited out to the apple headquarters to hear Eddy Cue speak about the possibilities from a software development and design prospective of what's possible. Here you can see Eddy Cue showing off what we collaborated on.
