Alexa on Mobile

Based on current user research and customer insights, users are unable to tell when Alexa is listening based off of the current implementation of Alexa on Mobile. Upon looking at the data, I found there is a high time out rate annd low success metrics to back the user research and insights.

Concepting & Task Flow

By leveraging the Alexa logo, I started off by manipulatinng the logo in different ways where motion could be used to provide visual cues that acknowledges user input, provide usefull feedback to the user and a deeper level of clarity for high level tasks. I shared these with the team in order to gather early input into the idea.

After getting a general direction in mind with storyboards, I dug down deeper into the task flow to get a better sense of the exact transitions and states to animate. Along the process, I recorded any ideas for interactions, feedback and rules.
